Embracing Change

Love birdsProject 365 – #119

Although change is not really fun for me, I have chosen to embrace the changes going on in our lives right now.  I’m enjoying the short little walks that I get to take with D as part of his therapy.  I’m loving being able to see him during the day.  We’re happy to be able to spend this extra time with him.

Yes, there is much to do to take care of him, but we have decided to focus on the positive rather than the negative.  D’s back surgery was a bit unique as they went through his stomach to do the disc fusion.  My poor baby is not only recovering from back surgery, but also abdominal surgery.

We joke that maybe we’ll be able to celebrate our anniversary by walking around the whole culdesac. lol!  For now, we’ll just take things one step at a time, one day at a time.  We’ll enjoy our time together.  There are certain to be times of annoying each other, but we’ll take the good with the bad.

Whoa… the whole cul-de-sac? Don’t get too ambitious. You could go the other way and visit with some neighbors. I think I heard that socializing is a key component to back surgery recovery. HEHE! Knowing your family, you’ll enjoy immensely whatever it is you end up doing. Isn’t that the reward of being totally in love with your hubby and your God? 😉
