Growing Up so Fast

Munchkin

Project 365 – #108

With each birthday, my baby girl gets closer and closer to becoming a teenager.  One more year and she’ll be at that magical age.  For now, we’ll just enjoy spending each day with our precious little girl who is nearly as tall as me. lol!  (Goofy girl didn’t want to smile for the picture. Right after I took the picture, she started laughing…)

On Saturday, we headed over to Phoenix for the Gluten Free Expo, so we decided to take advantage of being near some gluten-free restaurants and celebrated Munchkin’s birthday with some yummy gluten-free pizza from Picazzo’s pizza.

Yesterday, we had fun celebrating Munchkin’s birthday.  She wanted to celebrate when Daddy was home all day.  It was important to her as Daddy has missed several birthdays.  She wanted to make the most of the day together.  We spent the afternoon relaxing and watching movies together.  Munchkin had fun playing with her new American Girl gifts from Grandma and Grandpa as well as building with her Lincoln Logs.

Today, I’ll be making a birthday cake for my precious girl.  She’s requested a carrot cake, so I’m going to try to make one from scratch this time around.  We’ll see how that goes.  In the past, I’ve doctored up a gluten free carrot cake box mix.  I’m not sure what all Munchkin and I will be doing today, but Munchkin is happy to get the day off from her school work.  **grin**

It’s fun to spread out the birthday fun over more than one day.
