Project 365 – #115
D wanted to head out for one last dirt bike ride before his surgery. It’s going to be at least 6 months before he can ride again. Even then, he’ll have to be very careful and selective about the areas in which he rides. Riding is relaxing for him, so he’ll definitely miss our weekend exploration trips.
Munchkin really wanted to use these last few days to spend some quality time with Daddy. She’s been wanting to go fishing with him for some time. (Funny side note… We picked up a new tackle box for Munchkin as her old one was broken. We also picked her up some worms for the trip. She was so excited about the new tackle box that she over looked the worms, and they never made it on the fishing trip. D and Munchkin used some fake worms from in her tackle box kit. The worms? Well, they’re now happily existing in our new raised garden beds.)
With a little searching, we were able to find a location near us which offered the opportunity for both activities – Senator’s Wash. Puppy and I also enjoyed our time. We rode around and explored some with D and Munchkin. We also took a few walks while D and Munchkin were off fishing and riding their dirt bikes.
You may notice how puppy’s fur is going a bit crazy in the above picture. Well, we were experiencing some wild wind while we were out. I had to include the picture below because it cracked me up. Plus, it shows some of the craziness we encountered while out walking. The wind was so strong at points that puppy was having difficulty walking. Yet, he seemed to really love the wind blowing through his fur.
D and Munchkin never did catch any fish, but they saw lots of big fish swimming and jumping. I got to see a coyote up close, but he slipped away before I could snap a picture. Puppy had to remark is territory right after the coyote left. lol! As you can see, we had a nice time in our final outing before D’s surgery. I’m thrilled that D and Munchkin were able to enjoy some quality daddy-daughter time. It warmed my heart to see them having so much fun together.
Wow, what a great day with beautiful pictures! I really enjoyed this post. I hope surgery goes well.
