My Thoughts:

Fear Not is the third book in the Wilton Strait Mystery Series. Brain and Andrea are on a cruise ship trying to find out who committed the murder their friend Troy has been accused of committing. While aboard the cruise, they find themselves working not only on the murder mystery at hand, but also figuring out their relationship.

As a Christian dating couple, Brian and Andrea are committed to maintaining high standards in their relationship, but there are several times where they place themselves in situations that would be quite tempting. There is a bit more passion in this book than books past, but overall it’s clean except for the inclusion of some passionate kisses.

While the Christian message is very prominent in this book as both Brian and Andrea keep their faith first in every aspect of their lives, it, for the most part, flows well within the story. There were a few instances where it didn’t feel quite believable, but as a Christian, I know the Lord can use the oddest times to achieve His purposes. I enjoyed the interactions between Brian and Andrea with unbelievers in the story as it showed how they could live their faith while being understanding of those who didn’t share their faith.

The murder mystery itself was quite intriguing. Just when you think it’s over, another twist comes into play that keeps the story going. Not everything is as it seems on the surface. The epilogue leaves you wanting to read the next book as soon as you finish this one.

Once again, Barbara has done a wonderful job drawing the reader into the story, hooking them on the story, and keeping them engaged until the very end of the book.

I look forward to reading the next book in the Wilton Strait Murder Mystery series.
