Math Mammoth Geometry

Posted in Reviews

Math Mammoth offers both full curriculum math products as well as topic/grade based products and practical application products.  Last year, we had the wonderful opportunity to try out some of the practical application math products (Make It Real Learning).  This year, since Munchkin is working on geometry, we decided to try out the green series geometry worksheet set. Part of the Math Mammoth “green” series, Math Mammoth Geometry Worksheets Collection contains geometry-related worksheets for grades 5-8. The worksheets have been pulled out from Math Mammoth Grade 5, 6, and 7 Worksheets Collections, plus two worksheets related to Pythagorean theorem come…

Happy Veteran’s Day 2011

Posted in Military Life, and Photography

The sun began to peak over the horizon as the flag traveled up the pole. Cars and pedestrians stop their travels with they hear the first notes of the ceremony being played. Marines salute as the symbol of our nation’s freedom gently waving in the breeze slowly rose up into the sky. In November 1919, President Wilson declared November 11 as the first commemoration of Armistice Day with the following declaration: To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service and with gratitude…

Happy 236th Birthday Marines!

On this 10th day of November in the year of 2011, the Marine Corps celebrates it’s 236th birthday.  I have often said that I am grateful for all of the opportunities that have come to us as a military family. The following video is the 2011 Birthday message: Text of the Commandant’s 236th Marine Corps Birthday Message…

Lego Racing

Creative Play

For the most part, I love that my husband is a big kid at heart.  I admit that there are days that it drives me crazy, but overall, it’s a good thing.  That being said, it can lead to some pretty crazy play around our house. Today, Daddy and Munchkin build a catapult (from a kit that we’re reviewing).  Once it was assembled, the crazy play began.  Hmm… I wonder how far this will fly?  What do you think this will do?  Finally, I had to tell Munchkin that certain objects needed to be taken into an area where nothing…
