Times Alive!
by City Creek Press
Wouldn’t it be nice if kids could easily learn their multiplication facts? If they could have fun while they were learning? If they could enjoy the learning process so much that they want to do more work that has been assigned?
Times Alive! helps kids easily learn their multiplication facts in a fun interactive way on the computer.
At first, Munchkin didn’t know if she was going to like this program as it looked to “kiddish”, but she quickly found herself enjoying the program. Before we knew it, she had done many lessons. When Daddy arrived home, she couldn’t wait to show him all the fun things that she had learned and done with the program. She got a kick out of the animation and music videos. With this program, Munchkin genuinely wanted to do her math because she was having fun while she was learning. I was thrilled because the fun animations helped her solidify the multiplication facts. She was able to recall the multiplication facts more quickly after working with Times Alive!
The quizzes and games helped Munchkin cement the ideas into her memory. I was able to easily look over progress reports, so I always knew how Munchkin was doing with the program. If Munchkin needed to leave the program in the middle of a lesson (life happens…), she was able to come right back to where she left off. She really appreciated this as she didn’t have to start all over again.
Times Alive! is available as a PC or MAC download for $44.95 or on cd (both PC and MAC version on cd) for $48.95. View more samples of the program here. While this program is not listed as Windows 7 compatible, we were able to use it without issue on our Windows 7 computer.
I received a complementary download of Times Alive! as a member of the TOS Crew to help facilitate the writing of a frank and honest review. No other compensation was received. All opinions are my own.
