Leaving on a Jet Plane

Phoenix Airport

Project 365 – #031

We were blessed to have a wonderful week with Grandma and Grandpa.  Normally, when they come to visit, they can only stay for a few days, so this was a real treat.  Grandpa had a business conference to attend, so we decided to camp near the conference center.  We figured that we would try to spend as much time with them as possible.

On Friday afternoon, we dropped Grandma and Grandpa off at the airport.  It’s never easy to say goodbye, but we know that we’ll be seeing them again in a few months.  Normally, we get to see family once a year or so, but this year, we’ll be seeing them at least once more.  Although, it’s looking like we may actually be able to see them 3 times this year!  Even though this knowledge helped take some of the sting away from their departure, we missed them pretty much as soon as we said goodbye.

We decided to camp for a couple of extra days and explore the area a bit more.  Now, we’re back home and working at getting back into our normal routine.  I’m grateful to have my regular internet connection back.  Constantly fighting with a virtually non-existent connection is not fun.  I was thankful for my new phone as I was able to check my email even when the internet refused to work with my computer.  Remind me again, what did we do before all of this technology????  **grin**

Anyway, today, I’ll be working on that huge pile of laundry that comes with camping for almost a week.  We’ll also be starting back with Munchkin’s regular school schedule.  I’m sure she’ll be overly excited about that. lol!  Hopefully, I’ll have time to do a little blog hopping and catch up with how everyone is doing.
