Sculptures at the Airport

Airport Sculpture 1

Project 365 – #022

Grandma and Grandpa’s flight was delayed almost an hour, so we had fun exploring the airport.  I had been at this airport only once before back when I was a teenager.  Honestly, I don’t remember it, so it was new for all of us.  We found these fun sculptures and had to take a few pictures.

Airport Sculpture 2

We were pleased to find several different types of these sculptures with different patterns and colors.  I think they are abstract saguaro cactus.  At least, that’s what we saw when we studied them.  What do you think?

Munchkin and Sculpture

Munchkin picked out her favorite sculpture, and I took her picture in front of it.

Sculpture Reflection

When I was getting ready to snap a picture of one of the sculptures, I realized that you could see my reflection in the picture.  It’s kind of a crazy reflection due to the shape of the piece, but I thought it was kind of fun.

After we checked out all of the sculptures and different stores, we sat down and waited.  Munchkin played a game on my phone while D fiddled with his phone.  I started to read on my Kindle when an older gentleman started up a conversation with me.  I never did get much reading done as most of the time waiting was spent talking to this gentleman.

Our reunion with Grandma and Grandpa was filled with happy hugs and a few tears from Grandma.  We stopped by Chick-fil-a on the way home for some supper.  The long trip home was filled with talking and games.  Poor Grandpa was so tired that he fell asleep.  It was all too late by the time we arrived home.  Beds beckoned to each one of us.  It is time for me to answer my pillow’s call….

P.S. I may be a little scarce on the blogging world this week as I enjoy this visit with my parents.  I’ll have to play a little catch up with all of my blogging friends after they leave.  Thank you for being patient with me if I don’t get back to you right away. **smile**
