Gratituesday: Family

Posted in Family, and Military Life

We have been blessed during D’s military career to always be able to drive to see family.  Granted, it has been a long drive at times, but it was always less than a day’s drive away.  When we moved across country this year, we knew that our treks home to see family would come to a halt for a while (we don’t fly due to our “puppy”).  That is never an easy realization. While this is not always easy, it has given us the opportunity to come together.  We (D, Munchkin, and I) have learned to depend on each other…

Monday: Lunch – Left over gluten free personal pan pizzas from Sunday Dinner – Sandwiches using Gluten Free Homemaker’s Focaccia Bread Veggies…

Let the Children Come…

Posted in Christian Life

“Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray; but the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.’ And He laid His hands on them and departed from there.” ~Matthew 19:13-15 All too often, we discount children in today’s society.  We do not see their value nor do we take the time to truly listen to what they have to say.  Yet, we see many places in scripture where Jesus blesses children and…
