Menu Plan Monday: Company is Coming

Posted in Homemaking

This week, D is home all week.  Plus, we have family flying in on Wednesday.  Last week, due to unforeseen things taking place, I didn’t get to all of the items on our list, so some of this week’s menu items will be exactly the same as last week.

Since I’m not sure exactly what our schedule is this week, these things are all tentative.  It gives me something to start with, and we can tweak as necessary.

Monday:

Lunch – Left over gluten free personal pan pizzas from Sunday
Dinner – Sandwiches using Gluten Free Homemaker’s Focaccia Bread
Veggies with homemade ranch dressing

Tuesday:

Lunch – Chicken and/or tuna salad
Dinner – Spaghetti with meatballs (big hit last week, so I’m making it again this week)
Homemade gluten free breadsticks

Wednesday:

Lunch – We’re picking up Grandma and Grandpa from the airport and heading to Red Lobster
Dinner – Gluten Free Chicken Nuggets & Fries (or homemade chips)

Thursday:

Breakfast – Omelets
Lunch -Taco Salads
Dinner – D will be grilling something (We’re watching the college football national championship that night.)

Friday:

Breakfast -Gluten Free Pancakes and/or Gluten Free Waffles
Lunch – Gluten Free Sandwiches
Dinner – Crockpot Roast Chicken & Veggies

Saturday:

Breakfast – gluten free monkey bread (per Grandpa’s request)
Lunch – Sandwiches
Dinner – Chicken Taco soup or Baked potato bar (depends on time)

Sunday:

Breakfast – gluten free coffee cake
Lunch – Grilled Chicken
Dinner – grilled sausage (maybe pizza instead)

I totally understand! I am working on putting my menu together for the week and realize that I didn't make anything that was on my list last week.

Plus, I am trying to determine a new system for choosing meals because I find we eat the same one over and over. I want some more variety this year. 🙂
