The 90-Day Bible Reading Challenge

Posted in Christian Life

I originally saw this challenge posted at Raising Olives, but the event is being hosted by Mom’s Toolbox.  I am taking part in the 90-Day Challenge that started on January 1st.  Using the reading schedule put together by Biblein90Days.org, I will be able to read through the whole Bible in only 90 days.  It’s quite the undertaking, but I think it will be worth the extra effort required. I was pleased when Munchkin decided that she wanted to join me in this challenge.  Munchkin was actually so excited about the challenge that she started a few days early.  She said…

100+ Reading Challenge & What’s In a Name Reading Challenge

Posted in Announcements, and Commercial Break

I saw this book challenge over at Heidi’s blog and thought it would be fun to join in myself.  I enjoy reading and thought it would be fun to have a record of what I have read this year. On this post, I will be recording the books that I read in 2010.  There should be a good mix as I am reviewing books for different companies.  It’s been a good while since I’ve done a challenge like this — since I was a child. If you would like to join in on the 100+ Reading Challenge, head over to…

Reco Romertopf Mini Bakers Review and Giveaway

Posted in Reviews

I decided that I should start off the new year with a great giveaway (details at end of this post).  I told you a little about this giveaway here, but due to the holidays, the giveaway was a little delayed. A Glimpse of Our Year – 2009

Posted in Family, Holidays, and Thoughts

Musings of a Housewife is having a 2009 blog recap carnival.  It’s a fun way to look back at what was going on with your blog on the first day (or first post) of the month in 2009.  You just put down the first sentence of the post.  I chose to skip review and announcement posts if those were the first posts up for the month.  I also added a picture from the post.  If that post didn’t have a picture, then I took one from another post from the month. January Did we stay up to ring in the…

I should be cleaning…

Posted in Family, and Homemaking

Yes, right now, I should be cleaning.  In fact, I should have been cleaning all day.  We have company coming next week, and the house in not company ready.  Yet, here I sit… not cleaning. D had off from work today.  When he woke up, he decided that he wanted to go look at dirt bikes for himself and Munchkin.  (Note: I do not plan on riding a dirt bike with them.  I’ve learned to never say never – thus the “I do not plan”…)  Normally, this really isn’t a big deal, but the shop was over 2 hours away…
