“Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray; but the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.’ And He laid His hands on them and departed from there.” ~Matthew 19:13-15
All too often, we discount children in today’s society. We do not see their value nor do we take the time to truly listen to what they have to say. Yet, we see many places in scripture where Jesus blesses children and tells us that we need to be like little children who come to Him.
Each time I am able to see Jesus through the eyes of a child, I feel blessed to see the beauty of child-like faith. I strive to hold on to the passion a new Christian has for Christ – a passion that comes more naturally to a child. I do not want to grow stagnant and old in my faith and love of my Savior…
This morning, our children’s choir (including Munchkin) sang a song in church. Their joy as they sang spread through the church. It was a blessing for all who were attending the service.
Next week, Munchkin and at least one of her friends will be baptized. Oh, what joy that brings my heart. Their is hope for our nation through the faith of the next generation.
Oh wow!!!! All the best to Munchkin and for next week. Id love a photo.
Congrats Munchkin!
Baptisms are beautiful, especially when it's a child. The declaration of their faith to all who are there is just wonderful and is something I truly believe most children never forget.
I was saved and Baptised when I was seven.
