VBS & The Praying Mantis

On Friday, Munchkin had her VBS closing ceremony. Daddy was finally able to make it. Somehow, he has always been gone for VBS in the past, so it was a treat for him to be there for the performance. All the kids did a great job with the singing. Munchkin was bummed to see it all end, but she was also glad that she didn’t have to get up so early every morning. lol! Monsoon Season

Apparently, we’re in monsoon season here. We didn’t really know what all that entailed as this was a new one for us. We’re use to hurricane season and tornadoes, but monsoons are a new one. Today, we are getting a taste of some of what takes place during monsoon season. Our first major sandstorm was followed by a downpour which was followed by another sandstorm. When downpours occur, we have to watch out for flash floods. Now, we’re listening to the whistling of the wind. The fledgling trees whip back and forth with every gust of wind. The sand looks…
