Today, we said goodbye to Munchkin’s pet guinea pig, Clover. She’s been with us for several years, and Munchkin loved playing with her. Munchkin is very much struggling with the loss, and she is dealing with a bit of guilt as she feels like there was something she could have done. (I found her late this afternoon when I went to give them their greens. She hadn’t been sick, so it was unexpected. There is nothing that could have been done.) Our dog and the other guinea pig are rather confused right now as they don’t know what’s going on.…

1st Baseball Game
Posted in Family
Today was Munchkin’s first baseball game. She did well even though she really wasn’t feeling well at all. Coach knew that she wasn’t feeling well, so he did his best to make sure that she was ok throughout the game. She sat out the first inning which was good. She played the next 2 innings. Our baby is 9!! She’s growing up so fast. Yesterday, we started off the day with delicious cinnamon sugar donuts. Then, she opened her present from her Aunt, Uncle, and cousins. She received a Robopet (a puppy). We needed to head to the post office and library prior to making our next birthday stop, so she decided that she’d take her instruction manual with her to read. Our next birthday adventure was the arcade at Chuck E Cheese. We played skeeball and a couple of other games. Munchkin got the high score on skeeball, so tickets came pouring out of…
Munchkin’s Creative Side

What do you do when you’re still too sick to play, but you’re feeling well enough not to want to just sit around? Munchkin likes to do crafts and draw. Today, she decided to draw some animal pictures. She went to the Jan Brett website to watch the tutorial on drawing animals, but she didn’t like doing the step-by-step process. Instead, she looked at the finished product and drew her version from there. Here is the finished result of the dolphins. Here is the finished horse: She also drew a colt and an elephant, but I’m unable to get them…
