Munchkin’s Birthday

Posted in Family

Our baby is 9!! She’s growing up so fast. Yesterday, we started off the day with delicious cinnamon sugar donuts. Then, she opened her present from her Aunt, Uncle, and cousins. She received a Robopet (a puppy). We needed to head to the post office and library prior to making our next birthday stop, so she decided that she’d take her instruction manual with her to read.

Our next birthday adventure was the arcade at Chuck E Cheese. We played skeeball and a couple of other games. Munchkin got the high score on skeeball, so tickets came pouring out of the machine. It’s the first time that she had ever done this, so it was all the more exciting.

After our Chuck E Cheese adventure, we headed home for some lunch. After lunch, it was present and cake time. Grandma sent Munchkin that adorable cake stand. She decorated it with the jewels and flowers earlier in the week.

Daddy got her a camera of her very own. She was tickled pink. After testing that out, she decided that she wanted to play with Robopet. Unfortunately, we realized that we needed batteries that we didn’t have. lol! So, we hopped into the vehicle and picked some up. Grandpa called while we were out, so she enjoyed talking to him a bit.

Upon arrival home, I installed all of the batteries, and off she went. She was having fun with that when the phone rang. It was Daddy!!! Since we haven’t talked to him in over a month, this was extremely exciting for both of us. We both enjoyed talking to him.

As we got off the phone with him, a delivery truck from edible arrangements pulled up. Another delicious surprise from Daddy.

This ended up being snack and supper around here. Yummy! After more playing and some rest, we headed out to baseball practice. By this point in the day, she was pretty wiped. Since she’s still not feeling 100%, she did her best in practice, but was very much ready to leave when it was over.

We arrived home, got cleaned up, ate some more fruit, got ready for bed, and then it was lights out. She said the only way the day could have been better is if Daddy could have been there. A perfect ending to a fun filled day…
