Anti-Procrastination Challenge: Kitchen Organization

Posted in Homemaking

I keep telling myself that I’m going to clean off all the stuff on top of the fridge. I really don’t like having things on top of the fridge, but D didn’t have anywhere else to put all his coffee and drink mixes. So, I decided to re-organize the glass/cup cabinet. Some of the glasses in there weren’t being used as they were things that we got from the Marine Corps Ball. I put those into storage which allowed a whole shelf to be free for all of D’s things. Better yet, the fridge top is now free of stuff! Don’t forget to head over to The Sparrows Nest to see what other people are accomplishing today

Wow, that looks wonderful! I have a question; do you know how we are supposed to use those little cabinets above the fridge? Even if my fridge had nothing on top of it (which it does) I still couldn’t reach the cupboards to use them!! LOL, well, I guess you could find out now that your fridge is clear. If you come up with something, please let me know. 🙂

Rean Day, my husband is 6’4″, so he stores things up in those cabinets. He opened them up when he came home, and I said, “so that’s where those things went.” lol! He forgets that I can’t reach everything. I’m only 5’2″

Emily, the walls were one of the first things that I did when we moved in. The cabinets were the second (they were a very dark, old wood). We’ve lucky our landlord lets us paint.

Amy, thank you posting the encouragement! I’m so happy to finally have it done!

This area looks really nice! Ever since I saw this post a while back, I have been looking all over for the cute magnetic frames to organize the front of my fridge. I have lots of cute pictures all over it, but it is really messy. Where did you find them? Thanks!

Kitty, I found a lot of the frames in the dollar section at Target and at the Dollar Store. They usually have them at craft stores and Walmart as well. My sister has found a couple of them for me. We’re always looking for things to keep the fridge looking organized while being able to display all of our treasures.
