Thankful Thursday: Delicious Gluten Free Food

Today, as I was sitting here thinking about what to write for my Thankful Thursday post, I realized that I wanted to write about food.  I’ve been working with, eating, and writing about food so much lately that it just makes sense. The Joy of Friendship

I’ve written before that we have been blessed by good neighbors, good friends at this duty station. I was reminded again today how grateful I am for these good friendships as Munchkin happily ran around with her friend while we stood and talked with her mom, our neighbor. Munchkin does her school work quickly and efficiently (most days), so she has time to get her chores done before her friends come over to play.  She has multiple girl friends here which has never happened in the past.  Most of her friends are Christians and homeschoolers.  Once again, that isn’t something…

Thankful Thursday: Support

As I sat watching the Olympics, I thought about all of the support that these athletes needed to get to where they were at right now.  They needed family, friends, coaches, and colleges supporting them each step of the way.  They needed dedication and perseverance as they strove to accomplish their goal.  Shaun White didn’t stomp 2 runs and win the gold by sitting around idly watching others.  He was out there working hard. Thankful Thursday: Daily Blessings

While we’ve had some less than stellar things happen this week, I am very thankful for all of the Lord’s blessings on us. I have a wonderful husband sleeping beside me each night. I have a beautiful daughter resting peacefully in the next room. D’s truck is now up and running, so I have my own vehicle again. D was promoted this week.
