Sea of Faces

Posted in Christian Life

Sea Of Faces by Kutless I see the city lights all around me Everyone’s obscure Ten million people each with their problems Why should anyone care And in Your eyes I can see I am not just a man, vastly lost in this world Lost in a Sea of Faces Your body’s the bread, Your blood is the wine Because you traded Your life for mine Sometimes my life it feels so trivial Immersed in the greatness of space Yet somehow you still find the time for me It’s then You show me Your love And In Your eyes I…

Family Hiking at Picacho

Posted in Family, Holidays, and Outdoor Adventures

It wasn’t that long ago that taking longer hikes with Munchkin and D was a huge task for me.  My inhaler was in constant use, and I was in a great deal of pain.  It wasn’t a matter of being out of shape.  It was various health issues that caused me to struggle.  It was frustrating for everyone involved. Today, I am grateful that I’m a nominee over at the Homeschool Blog Awards.  I’ve been nominated in the Best Homemaking Blog category.  It’s a blessing to know that my gluten free recipes and gluten free products posts have helped others.  I love being able to take care of my family by providing delicious gluten free cooking for them, and it’s fun when I’m able to help even more people in the process. It was fun to know that some of my posts such as The Great Bedroom Throwdown and The Great Bathroom Throwdown inspired some people to have fun…

I sat there on the computer putting together a Veteran’s Day post to honor all of the veterans.  I looked at pictures from war after war.  Thoughts rolled through my mind ~ honor, courage, commitment ~ freedom…

Happy 235th Birthday Marines!!!

Posted in Holidays, and Military Life

I am grateful for all of the Marines – past, present, and future. I am grateful for the brotherhood that they share; the bond that keeps my husband safe when he deploys.  I am grateful for my life as a Marine wife.  While it may be difficult at times, our military lifestyle has been a blessing in many ways.  I am grateful for the other Marine families who understand the difficulties and blessings of military life.
