While Monday held a bit of bad craziness with the freak storm that caused damage at the horse rescue, there was also some good craziness that took place the following day. The horse rescue has two different areas – the regular horse rescue and the retirement villa. The retirement villa allows horses/donkeys/ponies to live out the remainder of their lives in peace and comfort in a relaxing environment. On Monday afternoon, shortly after Munchkin and I had left the horse rescue for the day, a big windstorm came through the ranch. A wind funnel/dust devil ripped through the pasture taking out stalls and shade structures. The one set of stalls crashed through the fence causing some major damage to the fence. Thankfully, no one was hurt even though there were a couple of volunteers who were in a stall near the stalls that were taken out.
