We have been blessed during D’s military career to always be able to drive to see family.  Granted, it has been a long drive at times, but it was always less than a day’s drive away.  When we moved across country this year, we knew that our treks home to see family would come to a halt for a while (we don’t fly due to our “puppy”).  That is never an easy realization. After reading Laura’s post, I started thinking about this past year and thought I would participate in the last Gratituesday of 2009. This past year, the Lord has truly worked in my life in many ways.  He’s humbled me and allowed me to better understand what others may be going through in this difficult economic times.  He’s opened my eyes to things that I didn’t really have a clear picture of prior to the craziness of this past year.
