Today was filled with decorating. Munchkin decorated the tree again this year. (Picture to be posted later.) She did a great job again. Several of the nativity scenes are now up, and a few more have yet to find their homes for the holidays. Christmas music fills the air. We had a lovely Thanksgiving Day filled with fun, food, family, and relaxing. I got up early to get the turkeys in the oven. While I totally enjoy preparing a full feast for my family, I do not enjoy getting up early. lol! Soon the house was filled with the tantalizing aroma of herb roasted turkey and all of the fixings. As we celebrate the national holiday of Thanksgiving, may we truly be thankful in our hearts. I am thankful for every person who reads this blog. I am thankful for all of my online and real life friends who support me and my family. A Productive Pre-Thanksgiving Day

As the day winds down, I am grateful that we had a very productive day. I was actually able to eat a little today, so that is definitely something to be thankful for. I was able to get most of the meal ready for tomorrow. The turkeys are in the brine, so they’ll be ready for the oven in the morning. Our Thanksgiving preparations actually begin way back in October. You see, we decorate for harvest starting on October 1st. When the 1st of November arrives, we start to add in some Thanksgiving specific decorations. The beginning of November also means that we’ll be doing some sort of a thankful craft.
