As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. To say I love this man is a complete understatement. He’s my best friend, and as much as we joke about the statement, he really does complete me. He loves the Lord and is a God-fearing man. He seeks to be the spiritual leader and backbone of our family. He’s in the Word daily. He works hard day in and day out to provide for us. He doesn’t complain even if he’s in a great deal of pain. He does what he needs to in order to complete the…

Children are a gift from the Lord. It’s never easy to raise a child. They don’t come with a handbook because each child would need their own personalized handbook. Each child is so unique. Thankfully, the Lord has given us some guidance in how to bring up our children to know and love Him in His Word. Life is not perfect, and I know that I make mistakes. The Lord forgives. Munchkin forgives. D forgives. I do my best to be a loving example for Munchkin. Whenever I start to feel concerns rise up from within, whenever I get a…
Family Hiking at Picacho
Posted in Family, Holidays, and Outdoor Adventures
It wasn’t that long ago that taking longer hikes with Munchkin and D was a huge task for me. My inhaler was in constant use, and I was in a great deal of pain. It wasn’t a matter of being out of shape. It was various health issues that caused me to struggle. It was frustrating for everyone involved. A Friend Like That I talk to him when I’m lonesome like; and I’m sure he understands. When he looks at me so attentively, and gently licks my hands; then he rubs his nose on my tailored clothes, but I never say naught thereat. For the good Lord knows I can buy more clothes, but never a friend like that. ~W. Dayton Wedgefarth~ We are definitely dog people. Our “puppy” joined our family shortly after D and I were married. Since the day we brought him home from the humane society, he has never wanted to be alone. He loves…
Heading to India
Posted in Family, and Homeschooling
Currently, we’re doing a study on India, so Munchkin decided that she wanted to try to go with a traditional India costume. We headed over to the thrift store to see what we could find. We were able to pick up a shirt and pants for Munchkin as well as myself. (We’re going to be doing a Indian dinner and will be dressing up for that, so I picked up an outfit for myself while we were out.) I found a head scarf for myself, but we couldn’t find one for Munchkin. I decided to rip apart a skirt to…
