Simple Changes for a Happy, Healthy 2011

Posted in Family

I’ve been writing a bit lately about some of the changes that I’ve been making in my life this year to help our family have a happy, healthy 2011.  Change is never easy, but when you have the proper motivation, it’s much easier.  Many of the motivating factors for me this year are family based.  I want our family to be able to spend more quality time together doing the things that we enjoy.  Munchkin is growing up so fast; we need to take advantage of the time that we have now. I’m tackling my health… One of the first…

Warm Weather and Winter Blossoms

Posted in Family, and Photography

Project 365 #017 One of the things that I enjoy about living here in the Arizona desert is the beautiful winters.  Today, it was lovely outside – warm and sunny.  It was definitely shorts and t-shirt type weather.  We opened up the house and let the fresh air in.  Outside of the house, I found a few beautiful blossoms in our neighbors bush that just called to have their picture taken. D spent time working on our 5th wheel trailer today.  Munchkin and I worked around the house.  Thankfully, Munchkin is finally on the mend which is good since Grandma…

Celebrating Daddy’s Birthday

Posted in Family, and Photography

Project 365 – #010 Munchkin is still sick, so Daddy’s birthday wasn’t very exciting.  We still had a nice day together, and I surprised D with some gluten free peanut butter cup cupcakes.  I made some chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter butter cream frosting.  For fun, I added a peanut butter cup on top and a few candies.  We were all on a little sugar high after eating the cupcakes, but they were delicious.  We watched a movie together, and then D and Munchkin had fun making paper airplanes.  It was not the birthday that we had originally planned, but…

Looking Back at 2010

Musings of a Housewife is once again hosting a blog recap carnival.  It’s a fun way to look back at what was going on with your blog on the first day (or first post) of the month in 2010.  You just put down the first sentence of the post.  I had so much fun doing this in 2009 that I decided to do it again.  Once again, I chose to skip review and announcement posts if those were the first posts up for the month.  I also added a picture from the post.  If that post didn’t have a picture,…

New Years Eve 2010

Posted in Family, and Outdoor Adventures

It’s hard to believe that another year has come to an end.  We will be spending our New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day out in the desert.  It seems fitting to be ending 2010 and starting 2011 out camping in the desert and spending quality time together as a family.  We plan on doing some riding and hiking as well as just relax and play games.  I’m taking along some books to get some reading done. It’s suppose to be quite cool in the evenings, so we look forward to having a fire in the evening.  We’re taking along…
