Looking Back at 2010

2010 New Years Carnival

Musings of a Housewife is once again hosting a blog recap carnival.  It’s a fun way to look back at what was going on with your blog on the first day (or first post) of the month in 2010.  You just put down the first sentence of the post.  I had so much fun doing this in 2009 that I decided to do it again.  Once again, I chose to skip review and announcement posts if those were the first posts up for the month.  I also added a picture from the post.  If that post didn’t have a picture, then I took one from another post from the month.

Now, a brief glimpse into 2010 at Marine Corps Nomads…

January – Let the Children Come…

Let the Children Come

All too often, we discount children in today’s society.

February – Fear and the Military Life Part 1

D knew he wanted to be a Marine from the time I first met him in junior high.

March – Gluten Free Baked Mac ‘n Cheese

Gluten Free Mac n Cheese

This recipe is based on my grandfather’s Mac ‘n Cheese recipe — passed down to my mom — passed down to me — and someday to be passed down to munchkin.

April – Bible in 90 Days Wrap-up

Bible in 90 Days

It’s hard to believe that 90 days ago, Munchkin and I began the Bible in 90 Days Challenge?

May – Having Fun at the Ballgame

Munchkin had her second baseball game today.

June – Simple Spring Snacking: Kiwi

July – Thankful Thursday: A Dream Realized continued…

New Trailer

When Munchkin was quite young and we were living in North Carolina, we rented a small travel trailer to take a nice camping trip.

At the end of June, I wrote about our planned curriculum choices for the new year.

October – Zion: Zion Lodge & Emerald Pools

December – Handmade Gifts: Prayer Journal

Prayer Journal

My new Cricut has inspired me to start working on my handmade Christmas gifts.

~~~~~~~~~~~
I always enjoy looking back over the previous year and gearing up for the new year.  Munchkin has grown up so much over the past year, and we’ve grown in many ways as a family.  We enjoyed many new experiences and places this year.  This year held both ups and downs, but in it all, we have seen the Lord’s hands.
Happy New Year! May 2011 hold many wonderful blessings for each of you.
