Tackling a New Homeschool Schedule

Posted in Family, Homeschooling, and Photography

Project 365: #032 D was cracking up when I started taking pictures at the airport – especially when he saw that I was taking pictures of the cabs.  I just thought they were much nicer looking cabs than you normally see driving around.  Yes, sometimes I can be a bit odd.  That tends to happen when you’re waiting for a delayed flight to arrive.  lol!  What does this have to do with today’s post?  Not much.  I just think it’s bright yellow color is rather cheery.  **grin** I didn’t end up getting as much done yesterday as I had originally…

Leaving on a Jet Plane

Project 365 – #031 We were blessed to have a wonderful week with Grandma and Grandpa.  Normally, when they come to visit, they can only stay for a few days, so this was a real treat.  Grandpa had a business conference to attend, so we decided to camp near the conference center.  We figured that we would try to spend as much time with them as possible. On Friday afternoon, we dropped Grandma and Grandpa off at the airport.  It’s never easy to say goodbye, but we know that we’ll be seeing them again in a few months.  Normally, we…

Exploring Bulldog Canyon Day 2

Posted in Family, Outdoor Adventures, and Photography

Day 2 of exploring Bulldog Canyon was filled with fun, dust, and lots of rocks and boulders.  It’s sad to see our time of off-roading with Grandma and Grandpa coming to an end.  We were thrilled to have this time together.  We saw so much gorgeous scenery while we were out riding.  A couple of crazy spills later, D is a bit sore, but he doesn’t regret a minute of it as we had a blast. Exploration and a Hike

Posted in Family, Outdoor Adventures, and Photography

We decided that it would be fun to take Grandma and Grandpa over to an area that we briefly explored before – the water in the desert area.  This time, we wanted to hike up to a mine area that we saw from our parking space near the water.  We had hiked a short way up the road, but this was a chance to really explore and hike up to the top of the hill. Yesterday, I posted a couple of pictures from the top of the hill.  When we started the hike, the top didn’t look that it was…

Sculptures at the Airport

Posted in Family, and Photography

Project 365 – #022 Grandma and Grandpa’s flight was delayed almost an hour, so we had fun exploring the airport.  I had been at this airport only once before back when I was a teenager.  Honestly, I don’t remember it, so it was new for all of us.  We found these fun sculptures and had to take a few pictures. We were pleased to find several different types of these sculptures with different patterns and colors.  I think they are abstract saguaro cactus.  At least, that’s what we saw when we studied them.  What do you think? Munchkin picked out…
