Gratituesday: Faith

We are blessed with a beautiful daughter who loves the Lord.  We do our best to raise her in a manner that would be pleasing to Him.  We teach her and guide her according to God’s Word.  Yet, we make mistakes.  We are sinners just like every one else here on this earth.  By the grace of God, Munchkin is growing spiritually as she grows physically. We have talked with her about baptism over the years, but we always knew that it was something that she would have to decide on for herself.  We were just there to guide her…

Daughter of the King: Baptism

Posted in Christian Life, and Family

Today, Munchkin was baptized.  Gramma and Grampa were able to be there to share this special day.  My heart burst with joy to see my sweet little girl decide to make this public display of her inner decision. I was in the back helping Munchkin with the whole process, so my Dad snapped a few pictures for me while D did his best to tape the actual baptism.  The pictures, unfortunately, didn’t really turn out, but I still wanted to share a picture of this moment. She gives some great tips on how to keep plugging forward even if you’ve fallen behind on your reading. She’s also started…

So then, they are no longer two but one flesh.  Therefore, what God has joined together, let not man separate.’” ~ Matthew 19:4-6 This past Sunday, we finished up our Marriage Without Regrets Sunday school class.  D and I walked away feeling very grateful for our relationship and for each…

Let the Children Come…

“Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray; but the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.’ And He laid His hands on them and departed from there.” ~Matthew 19:13-15 All too often, we discount children in today’s society.  We do not see their value nor do we take the time to truly listen to what they have to say.  Yet, we see many places in scripture where Jesus blesses children and…
