A New Rescue Horse

Earlier this week, I received a call from an animal shelter. They had a horse who needed a new home – fast. (They had contacted the rescue last week, and I left a few messages but due to illness we hadn’t heard anything back until that point.) If they couldn’t rehome this healthy horse, they were going to put her down later that day. We talked back and forth a bit, and she decided to send me a video of the horse. Christmas Tree 2013

It’s funny how the same Christmas tree that has looked rather large in most of our homes looks a bit smaller at the cabin next to the large fireplace. I am so grateful that this year we have a floor instead of plywood, and that we have a fully insulated cabin. Archery Practice

Munchkin thoroughly enjoys practicing archery even though there are times that she gets quite frustrated in the process of learning. She hasn’t really had a chance to practice very much since the move due to our crazy schedules and less than desirable weather (too hot or too cold).
