After being inspired by all the great aprons that I have been seeing on other blogs, I decided to try my hands at matching aprons for my daughter and I. Anti-Procrastination Challenge: Bookcase Organization

Over at The Sparrows Nest they are having anti-procrastination week. Well, I’m a little late on getting started, but since I’m feeling a little better today, I thought I would try to take part in the challenge. I have been putting off organizing the bookshelves. DIY Storage Containers from Recycled Materials

My daughter decided that she needed some containers to store her things in. I didn’t want to spend any money, so I went to see what I had around the house. I found several oatmeal containers. While I knew that she’d be ok with plain storage containers, I thought it would be fun to create something a little fancier and fun. After locating some recycled wrapping paper, I cut circles out of the wrapping paper for the lids and rectangle strips to wrap the containers. Why do we homeschool?

Why do we Homeschool? This is a question that I often hear followed quickly by their story about someone that they know who homeschools. Yes, in our area, homeschooling is very popular. We’re not considered too odd around here which is nice. We always have tons of activities in which we can be involved. People wonder how our daughter, an only child, can possibly be socialized properly. Yet, they’re always commenting on how well behaved she is. Keeping House while Sick

I’m still trying to figure out how to keep a handle on the housework when I’m feeling so lousy. Since D is home in the evenings now, it’s a bit easier as he’s able to help out. But, it’s still my job to take care of the house, and I prefer to be able to allow him to rest in the evenings.
