Remembering September 11, 2001

Posted in Family, Holidays, Homeschooling, and Thoughts

Let us take a moment to remember those who lost their lives on that tragic day. Let us take a moment to celebrate the lives of the heroes that put their lives on the line to save others. Let us take a moment to pray for our country. Munchkin doesn’t remember the events of September 11th as she was too young. Today, we will spend some time reflecting and learning about the events of that day. You…

The Storm Has Passed

Posted in Family, and Thoughts

We are happy to report that the storm has passed. The sun is finally peeking through the clouds, and the rain has stopped. The roof of our gazebo/screen room was torn to pieces, a tree broke, and there is debris all over the yard. But, it wasn’t as bad as what they expected. We only had very brief power outages throughout the day. We enjoyed our relaxing day at home. Munchkin played, and I worked on going through some boxes of stuff to donate or give away. Now, we’re playing a game. We’ll continue to pray for those in the…
