Jim Baumgardner’s final installment in his 3-part writing series at Creative Learners is now up.  I think it’s absolutely wonderful that he was willing to take time out of his schedule to help out budding writers with this free series. Our journey towards having a greener household all started when we went gluten free a few years ago.  Having to look at the ingredients on everything (not just food) really opens your eyes to what is in various products.  Our switch to eating gluten free helped us transition into a healthier and more organic diet.  In turn, this lead to us paying more attention to how different products made us feel. Staying at home means that I don’t have to worry about taking time off if Munchkin is sick.  Homeschooling means that Munchkin is not missing school when she’s ill.  Staying home for both of us means more flexibility and free time. Another Sick Day

Munchkin’s allergies have been giving her fits, so she’s down sick again.  She was just sick last week, so it’s a bit frustrating to both of us.  She has all of these plans for things that she wanted to do today, but it’s not happening.  Instead, she’s resting in bed and watching movies. I’m getting some things done around the house while trying to make sure that she’s drinking water and eating at least a little something.  Since her throat hurts, getting her to drink and eat can be a difficult task.
