Munchkin’s bout with the chicken pox ended last week. She was glad to get through that as was I. We did a lot of reading during that time period. It was amusing watching the expression on the children’s librarian’s face when Munchkin handed her to full reading sheets. This summer reading program is based upon the minutes read by the child (and/or read to the child), not books read. Yep, Munchkin has a case of the chicken pox. Ironically, she was vaccinated for the pox when she was younger. Yet, here we are on day three of a case of the chicken pox. Granted, it’s not a horrible case even though she has lots and lots and lots and lots of spots!! She’s uncomfortable but not horribly so. She’s also not itchy like crazy at this point.
