The Storm Has Passed

Posted in Family, and Thoughts

We are happy to report that the storm has passed. The sun is finally peeking through the clouds, and the rain has stopped. The roof of our gazebo/screen room was torn to pieces, a tree broke, and there is debris all over the yard. But, it wasn’t as bad as what they expected. We only had very brief power outages throughout the day. We enjoyed our relaxing day at home. Munchkin played, and I worked on going through some boxes of stuff to donate or give away. She had somehow been able to escape and call for help. She is now safely in the loving arms of her family. One child had been found in the family’s pond. He had slipped from his earthly home into his heavenly home. He is…

While this brings great relief to finally be approaching that point, it also brings along with it some trials. We hear very little from D these days. We can no longer send him care packages. We’re eagerly looking forward to his return home. All this added together makes the days, weeks, months creep by for us. In this time of waiting and…
