We usually take our meals with us when we’re out and about.  Since we’re gluten free, it’s easier to have food with us instead of trying to find “safe” food to eat.  That doesn’t mean that we never eat out, but that’s the exception, not the norm for us.  One of the difficulties that we’ve found with taking certain foods (cheese, yogurt, meat) is keeping the foods cold.  Ice makes the foods less than desirable.  Ice packs tend to thaw a little too fast especially in the summer.
