VeggieTales Twas the Night before EasterBunnies ~ Easter Eggs ~ Chocolate

Is that what Easter is all about or is there more to it?  Join Bob and Larry in this Easter special as they seek to find the true meaning of Easter.

Marlee Meade has decided to quit her job as a reporter and make a difference in the community by hosting a musical theater production – “Up With Bunnies”.  When she realizes that singing sensation Cassie Cassava’s return to town and singing at the local church means that very few people will show up for the musical, she hatches a plan to get Cassie to perform in her production.  Unfortunately, things don’t turn out exactly as planned, but she learns the true meaning of Easter as well as what it really means to help others.

In classic Veggie Tales style, the entertaining story teaches children lessons about life and Jesus.  Viewers will walk away with a better understanding of the importance of Easter and helping others.  Kids will enjoy the silly song “The Hopperena” in addition to the bonus feature “Easter Cards” interactive matching game.

As a family, we enjoyed watching this new Veggie Tales Easter movie.  We laughed and giggled along with the Veggie characters.  Munchkin enjoyed the extra features.  Melinda Doolittle (from American Idol) did a great job playing Cassie Cassava.  It was fun to hear her take on the Veggie Tales movie during her “behind the voice” interview in the special features.

One of the special features in this video is the information about Veggie Tales teaming up with World Vision.  This is the ultimate way of helping others – helping those less fortunate.  As a little extra incentive for people to sponsor a child, Veggie Tales is offering a special Veggie Tales book library worth $50 free with a sponsored child.

Veggie Tales ‘Twas the Night Before Easter will be available for purchase on March 8, 2011.

I received a copy of this dvd to help facilitate the writing of a frank and honest review. All opinions are my own.
