Every person is different when it comes to deployments, but there is always some common ground that most people go through while dealing with deployments.  Obviously, I approach this from the viewpoint of a spouse, but anyone can use at least some of these tips.  Deployments are never easy, but you can do it with God’s help. The Lord will ultimately give you the strength and comfort that you need to get through this deployment. Gratituesday: Family

We have been blessed during D’s military career to always be able to drive to see family.  Granted, it has been a long drive at times, but it was always less than a day’s drive away.  When we moved across country this year, we knew that our treks home to see family would come to a halt for a while (we don’t fly due to our “puppy”).  That is never an easy realization. Yuma Armed Forces Park

On Veterans Day, we try to do something to remember all of the Veterans who have fought so bravely for our country.  This year, we didn’t have anything particular in mind.  As we were driving to one of our planned field trip locations, we stumbled upon this memorial site.  We decided to stop and look at all of the names on the walls.
