April Homeschool Update

Can you believe that it’s already April 1st?  I find it hard to believe, but here we are.  Munchkin will be celebrating her birthday this month; she’ll be 11!  Several of her friends and members of our extended family will be celebrating birthdays this month as well, so it’s sure to be a busy month. Free Creation Resources

Creation Conversations is a place were Christians who believe in Biblical creation can come together and discuss their beliefs, share ideas, and recommend evolution free resources. The site even has a couple of free books you can download: In Six Days, complied by Dr. John Ashton Defending the Faith by Dr. Henry Morris In addition to the free books, you will find free chapters from several other books as well as lists of creation resources. Take a look at my free Creation Science lapbooks: Creation Science extras, The Great Dinosaur Mystery Solved!, and Life in the Great Ice Age.

Top 10 Reasons We Homeschool Year Around

If you have been reading this blog for a while, you know that we have chosen to homeschool year around. In the past, we have done a lighter schedule in the summer.  We’ve also used the summer to do various classes or curriculum that wouldn’t fit into our normal school schedule.  Now that we’re in Az, we’ll be schooling full time in the summer as it’s too hot to be outside. Thursday: This and That

I know that I haven’t been blogging much this week other than recipes and reviews/giveaways.  It’s been a busy week.  Plus, we’ve been enjoying the beautiful weather.  We’re taking advantage of these warm days before the summer heat sets in.  I’ve been spending less time on the computer and more time doing other things.  I just needed a bit of a break.  Soon enough, we’ll be hibernating for the summer.
