Thursday: This and That

Posted in Family, Homemaking, Homeschooling, and Thoughts

Pink FlowersI know that I haven’t been blogging much this week other than recipes and reviews/giveaways.  It’s been a busy week.  Plus, we’ve been enjoying the beautiful weather.  We’re taking advantage of these warm days before the summer heat sets in.  I’ve been spending less time on the computer and more time doing other things.  I just needed a bit of a break.  Soon enough, we’ll be hibernating for the summer.

I’ve been happily baking, cooking, and creating new recipes. I had forgotten how relaxing it is to be in the kitchen just creating and having fun.  All too soon, it will be too hot to be baking and creating, so I’m enjoying it for now.

Munchkin has been enjoying her extra time playing with her friends.  (They’ve been motivating each other to get done with their school work quickly and efficiently this week, so they would have more play time.  Munchkin has even been doing her chores quickly. It’s been rather nice around here.  **grin**)

Today, we had fun at our homeschool park day.  The kids really like getting together to play while the moms enjoy the adult conversation. It looks like we’re going to start meeting up for the kids to play baseball once a week in addition to our every other week park day. I’m sure Munchkin will enjoy this.

This week was all about friends and family…

  1. Hi Heather,

We are taking our spring break. I wasn’t going to take it, but we need the break.

I love being in the kitchen. I find it relaxing and fun most of the time.

Unfortunately, I have been spending more time at the computer since I sprained my foot almost falling down the stairs. I need to make the time productive though.

How hot does it get in the summer time?

  2. Wow! I think I would melt if it was that hot. I would hide inside too. We rarely get into the hundreds, but our weather is nice most of the year so it makes up for it. We had one year where we were at the beach in February! Playing in the water no less.

    Blessings

The summer months are hot, but the rest of the year is nice. Around here, the winter months are the growing months.
