Works for Me Wednesday: Family Mail Center

Since D has been gone, I’ve been looking for different ways to encourage Munchkin and brighten her day. She has also been helping out a lot around the house when I’m feeling under the weather, so I wanted a fun way to say thank you to her. Works for Me Wednesday: Backwards Edition

This week for works for me Wednesday, we are asking other bloggers for their help on what works for them… We’re working on learning the states & capitals this month in school. Right now, I have Munchkin learning 3 states with their capitals per day. Plus, we review what we learned the prior day. We are doing this by writing out the states with the capitals (her penmanship practice for the day). I also want to incorporate geography into this by maybe placing the states in the proper location as we learn them? As you can see, I’m not sure…

Tackle It Tuesday: Housework

It’s time to get tackling again. I needed a little extra “push” this week as I’m plum tuckered out from all the the rearranging that comes from Christmas. Here’s what I want to accomplish today: 1. Wash, Dry, Fold, Put away 2 loads of laundry. 2. Put school supplies back in bin. (They’re currently scattered on the bed. yikes!) 3. Clean off kitchen table. 4. Wipe down kitchen counters and floors. 5. Vacuum living room/hallway.

Monday Meanderings & Menu Plan Monday

Bible Study/Devotions: In the morning, I am reading the Daily Bread devotionals. In the evening, I am continuing to work my way through the Beth Moore book To Live is Christ. I took some time off from it at Christmas as I was doing a seasonal Bible study. Munchkin will be continuing with her Keys for Kids devotions. Must Do List: I will be continuing the living room work. All of the baking supplies that I took on our trip will be put away. The outside Christmas decorations will be coming down while the weather is very nice. Train Them…

Tackle It Tuesday: Errands

Today is errand day. Things we need pick up: Stocking stuffers Sheets for D (love ya, hun!) Ear drops for Munchkin Books/videos from library Vacuum belt Things we need to get done: Vacuum the house Bake cookies Make peanut butter balls Schoolwork, including Christmas lapbook Take our furry friend to the vet for shots Take D’s package to post office Not a very exciting day, but it needs to get done. We may not get all of the baking done today, so that’s actually a “get done this week” type thing.
