Semper Fi Apron and Chef Hat

Posted in Homemaking

My sister contacted me a couple of weeks ago to see if I could make up a few aprons and chef hats for her upcoming wild game dinner at church.  (Keep in mind that this isn’t something that I’ve done. lol!)  So, I agreed to give it a try.  We originally talked about using a pink camo, but I was unable to find any pink camo material locally.  So, this is what I came up with… You can’t tell it from the picture, but the ruffle, pockets, and ties are in light pink.  I used the same pink material to…

Gluten Free Spaghetti, Meatballs, & Cheesy Garlic Bread

Munchkin really likes spaghetti and meatballs.  Add some cheesy garlic bread — well, then she’s just as happy as can be.  When I presented her with her with this platter, she just grinned and couldn’t wait to eat. Love, Grace, Child… Baptism Necklace

Posted in Christian Life, and Homemaking

When Munchkin decided to get baptized, I knew that I wanted to give her something special for that important moment in her life.  Since Daddy had already given her a nice study Bible a couple of years ago, that was not an option.  She had looked at some cross necklaces that she really liked, but they were gone by the time that I was able to go try to purchase one.  I then decided that I would make her a necklace, so it would be even more special to her.  This is what I came up with for her minus…

Tackle It Tuesday: Getting Caught Up

Posted in Homemaking

I need to participate in Tackle It Tuesday this week. We loved having company this past week, but now, I need to buckle down and get caught up on everything. Last night, I tackled emails and blog stuff.  I still have a few things to finish (like picking a winner for the giveaway), but most things are at least back on track. {done} Today, I’m tackling getting caught up on reading and review items. I need to get that stuff buttoned down.  I need to figure out what all I need to get done and create a new schedule.  In…

Menu Plan Monday: Company is Coming

Posted in Homemaking

This week, D is home all week.  Plus, we have family flying in on Wednesday.  Last week, due to unforeseen things taking place, I didn’t get to all of the items on our list, so some of this week’s menu items will be exactly the same as last week. Since I’m not sure exactly what our schedule is this week, these things are all tentative.  It gives me something to start with, and we can tweak as necessary. Monday: Lunch – Left over gluten free personal pan pizzas from Sunday Dinner – Sandwiches using Gluten Free Homemaker’s Focaccia Bread Veggies…
