I had purchased some red fleece a while back for something (I don’t remember what), so I decided to make Munchkin some new pjs. Once I had the pjs made, Munchkin said that they looked like a Santa outfit except they didn’t have white. I pulled out some white scraps that we had and put on the cuffs. Munchkin loved her new cozy pjs and felt all set for Christmas. On Thanksgiving Day, I put up the Christmas tree (pre-lit), but I didn’t get the decorations down. By that point, I wasn’t feeling very well, so we cuddled a bit…

The turkey looks huge for just the 2 of us, and it was. We have lots of leftover turkey for the freezer for future use. We realized today that we forgot the cranberry sauce, so Munchkin decided to have some today. We had a good day even though we were missing a very important person. Thinking about this, I started to ponder on what is my idea of a perfect holiday. Truly, it has nothing to do with the decorations (even though I love decorating) or the perfect meal (although I love preparing a…
Last night, we headed over to the Botanical Gardens for their members only sneak preview of the Garden of Lights display. As we drove up to the gardens, we were greeted by thousands of beautiful Christmas lights twinkling in the still, cool night. They asked us to tune our radio to the Christmas music playing on their set station. We began to drive through the tunnel of lights looking at the different displays. After a couple of minutes, we pull up to the snack station. We are given our choice of hot chocolate or coffee and donuts. A few feet…
