Today was Munchkin’s last game. It ended up being a beautiful, but chilly day for their game. They ended the season with a great win. Since Munchkin was sick last week for the award ceremony, the coach awarded her trophy today. She really enjoyed playing goalie for a quarter today.(Photo taken at prior game.)Coach awarding trophy Munchkin sporting her new trophy. She loves that the ball actually spins!!

“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.” James 1:2, 3 If you’ve ever been stuck in the house for several days with a sick child, you know that your patience will be tried. While you love your child, you grow weary as the days (and nights) go by very slowly. This has been my house this past week. Well, Wednesday evening brought a lovely (and well needed) surprise. I honestly did not think that Munchkin would even attempt to go to church as she just wasn’t…
I thought Munchkin was on the road to recovery yesterday as she was starting to move around more and just act more like normal. Unfortunately, she woke up feeling worse. D received our first package today, so that was pretty cool. It only took a week to get there. He’s already enjoying his yummy goodies. We were also able to communicate today for the first time in about a…
Unfortunately, Munchkin woke up this morning very ill. She was running a high fever and could barely move. So, alas, she could not go to her art workshop much to her dismay. She will also be missing her award ceremony after her soccer game tomorrow as she will not be attending. Poor thing has been in bed all day. The good news is that the fever has gone down a little so she’s not as chilled. I’m praying that this is a short-lived illness.

“And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness. There fore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in my infirmities… For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9, 10 This week I am very thankful that we were able to talk to D. We weren’t expecting to be able to talk to him for at least a month, so this was very much a blessing. We were even able to…
