Our Weekend

Posted in Family, and Thoughts

We had a lovely weekend with my sister, brother-in-law, and nieces. Our weekend started by meeting them at Chick-fil-a. Since we haven’t eaten out since the beginning of January, we really enjoyed this. The girls played for a little while on the playground before we headed home. The girls had a lot of fun playing together. Since we knew that we had a full day ahead of us on Saturday, we attempted to get the girls to bed a decent time. Our Saturday started bright and early. Devildogfamily Shipping Company

Yep, that’s Munchkin and I. We’re the Devildogfamily Shipping Company. We specialize in shipping care packages to our hero. Yesterday, D and I were chatting about what he needed and how quickly he went through certain items. Since he’s gluten free, he relies on me to send him lots of food to keep him going. He grinned (via smiley), and said that I was his personal shipping company. Last…

I really wanted to just crawl back in bed and make it a lazy day… We had to make a post office run, and we needed to swing by and pick up some baskets and a coat rack? that someone was giving us. I was pleasantly surprised that the post office was pretty empty. Then, we arrived home and I looked at the baskets.…

Homeschooling Update

Posted in Family, Homeschooling, and Thoughts

We’re really enjoying our studies right now. As we continue reading the Little House series, we are very much appreciative of the warm house that we live in. We’re glad for electricity, running water, and stocked grocery stores. We’re glad that we have warm clothes that don’t need to be patched again and again. We’re glad that we don’t have to twist hay into hay sticks to burn for heat and cooking because there is nothing else to heat the house. We’re glad that we don’t wake up covered in snow and freezing because the wind is blowing through the…
