Yep, that’s Munchkin and I. We’re the Devildogfamily Shipping Company. We specialize in shipping care packages to our hero.
Yesterday, D and I were chatting about what he needed and how quickly he went through certain items. Since he’s gluten free, he relies on me to send him lots of food to keep him going. There’s only so much rice, veggies, and salads a person can eat without something else to supplement it.
I made a comment saying that lately I felt like a shipping company. He grinned (via smiley), and said that I was his personal shipping company.
Last night, I went shopping for more supplies for him, so we have another big box ready to head out. We’ll keep it sitting here until it’s stuffed full. No wasted space allowed in these boxes. We make sure that our filler is useful and doesn’t need to be tossed in the trash.
Thankfully, we have some subsidiary companies that help us out on our quest to keep our hero stocked. Sometimes when you’re back here, you just need to do something to feel like you’re helping out in some way. Prayers are the best thing, but packages make things much better for everyone involved.

I remember how much the packages meant to my son and his unit when they were deployed. One thing he especially liked were the honey roasted nuts I sent and the little snacks he could use instead of meals. Oh, and the toliet paper!
