My birthday cake with 4 very large cupcakes. As I said above, these were very large cupcakes. The top and bottom are baked seperately. We took the cupcakes on our weekend camping trip. Not sure what D is using to light the candles? Take a look below. Uh, yep, that’s a propane torch. What? Isn’t that what you light your candles with? My new slow cooker. (My other one died.) It has 3 different size crocks to go with it. Yes, it was in use when I took this picture. My birthday gift from D and Munchkin. I’m really hard…

We had a wonderful weekend camping. We rolled into our beach front campsite late on Friday night. We were exhausted and happy to head to bed. We woke up to an absolutely beautiful view. We didn’t realize that we literally backed right up to the beach and the bay. Munchkin had a blast looking for shells on the beach. We could walk right across the road and be at the ocean. (We were on the bay side). The San Diego Zoo and the Wild Animal Park is offering free entrance to all kids for the month of October. They are…

Then God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit after their kind, with seed in them, on the earth; and it was so. And the earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, with seed in them, after their kind; and God saw that it was good. We were pleasantly surprised when D was able to make it home a day earlier than expected. His early arrival home allowed us to be able to go do some exploring at the Cleveland National Forest. We were hoping to find some fall colors, but it will a little too early as the trees are just starting to change. We did see some breath-taking views.
