Going to the Grand Canyon

I’m so excited! We are finally on our way to the Grand Canyon.  We have planned to go more than once since we moved to Arizona this past summer, but it never worked out.  After some other tentative plans fell through, we decided to head there this week.  I scrambled around and found a campground for us to stay at (in our travel trailer).  We should have internet access, but I’m not sure how much I’ll be posting this week. Yuma Air Show 2010

This morning, we headed out to the Yuma Air Show.  It’s nice because it’s right here on base.  Plus, D was able to drive us right over to the entrance.  Munchkin and I walked around and looked at everything.  D was working, so he was only able to walk with us for a few minutes before he took us back home. Munchkin and I are spending the rest of the day relaxing while D is working.  It’s never fun when D has to work on the weekends, but thankfully, it doesn’t happen that often these days.  Hope everyone is having…

Sometimes learning hurts

Today was Munchkin’s final soccer game of the season.  It was a beautiful sunny morning with a nice breeze to keep it from being too hot.  Munchkin’s team played hard, worked together, and won their final game.  It was nice to end the season on a positive note.  On Tuesday, they will have the award banquet. After the game, we headed home to eat some lunch before heading back out.  I decided to make something quick, easy, and light.  I ended up making lots of sandwich wraps because Munchkin and D were rather hungry.  We relaxed for a little while…

Thursday: This and That

I know that I haven’t been blogging much this week other than recipes and reviews/giveaways.  It’s been a busy week.  Plus, we’ve been enjoying the beautiful weather.  We’re taking advantage of these warm days before the summer heat sets in.  I’ve been spending less time on the computer and more time doing other things.  I just needed a bit of a break.  Soon enough, we’ll be hibernating for the summer. A Beautiful Saturday Morning

Munchkin had a blast at her 50s night at Awana.  She and her friends enjoy their time there each Wednesday night.  Next week is movie night.  They’ll be watching a movie and having snacks.  Munchkin volunteered me to make cookies.  I told her that next time she needs to ask me first. lol!
