One of the things that we’ve never liked about going to beautiful places like the Grand Canyon is that all of the pamphlets and information is steeped in the theory of evolution.  Since we believe in creation, we prefer to read about the creation aspect. Home Again, Home Again…

Coming home from a camping trip is always bittersweet.  We love being out together as a family with no distractions.  It’s nice to come home, but we miss those special times. The trailer has been unloaded and put back in storage.  Our living room is full of bags to be unpacked and laundry to be done.  Tonight, we’ll relax after our journey home and tackle those things later…. Next week, I’ll post more pictures from our trip.  I’ll also share the many places we visited.  Have a wonderful evening!!

Grand Canyon Adventure: Some Wildlife

On Wednesday, despite Munchkin feeling a bit under the weather, we were able to hike most of the Rim Trail. Such beautiful sights to be seen. We also saw some wildlife this time around. The most exciting thing that we saw was Elk along the hiking trail. Munchkin really liked the HUGE crows that we saw flying everywhere. When Munchkin got too tired to walk any more, we hopped on the shuttle bus. It was another lovely day.

Grand Canyon Adventure: Unexpected Overnight Surprise

Munchkin has been hoping that she would at least get to see some snow while we were here.  She misses her snow. **grin**  As we were driving here, we saw snow on the mountain peaks.  The closer we got the more snowy mountains we saw.  Then, we saw some snow along the road.  As we turned off the highway to head toward our campground, we saw patches of snow all over the place.  Munchkin started to get excited.  At least she would be able to play in the little patch of snow.  This made her more than a little happy.…
