Prayers for Our Troops and Their Families

Posted in Christian Life, and Military Life

Several people mentioned that they would like to see a prayer request list not only for deployed troops, but also for all of our military families.  I decided to create one location for both prayer lists.  I will keep a link to this post in my sidebar, so it is always easy to find.  Please feel free to add your prayer requests to this list, and we’ll pray for your family/friends. This prayer list is for our deployed troops and their families. Please leave a link to your blog (if you have one), so we can check in and get…

WFW – Set Me Free!

Munchkin was happy to be released from this old prison cell. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.~Romans 6:18-21 The bird trapped…

Gratituesday: Faith

I was in the back helping Munchkin with the whole process, so my Dad snapped a few pictures for me while D did his best to tape the actual baptism.  The pictures, unfortunately, didn’t really turn out, but I still wanted to share a picture of this moment. After lunch, I chose to surprise Munchkin with this cake that I quickly decorated…

90 Days Bible Challenge and Frustration

Posted in Christian Life

It’s hard to believe that we’re wrapping up week one of the 90 Days Bible Reading Challenge. Munchkin and I are still on track, but it has been more difficult now that we have company staying with us. I’m sure that there are times during this challenge that we are going to grow frustrated and discouraged. Thankfully, Amy over at Mom’s Toolbox has addressed this topic on her blog post – Bible in 90 Days: Getting Frustrated Yet? She gives some great tips on how to keep plugging forward even if you’ve fallen behind on your reading. She’s also started…
