Stuart Little

Posted in Family, and Homeschooling

We had a wonderful time at Stuart Little. It didn’t follow the book even remotely, but it was still a wonderful production. Since the schools were on a 2 hours delay here, the school groups didn’t show up. It was nice as it was just our homeschool group, a small preschool group, and a handful of mommys with their little ones. It was great. Our lunch was a grilled chicken sandwich, apple, goldfish, oreo snackers, and a juice box. We really enjoyed ourselves. The next production will be Charlotte’s Web. Munchkin is super excited — it’s next month. lol!

Thankful Thursday: Home

Posted in Family

How many times do we take our homes and the things in our homes for granted? Are we grateful for the things that we have or do we want more? Are we satisfied with what God has blessed us with or do we feel that it’s not good enough? The truth is, if we’re willing to admit it, we all have been guilty of the gimmies. Snow Day

Posted in Family

We had a snow day today. Now, a snow day here doesn’t necessarily mean a lot of snow — in fact, they’ll close things down with the threat of snow (at times). Anyway, we had probably a couple of inches or so. Enough snow that munchkin had fun playing in it. Since we’re homeschooling, a snow day doesn’t mean she doesn’t have to do her school work. BUT, I do allow her to play out in the snow as much as she wants since it doesn’t snow that often. Of course, that means that she’s just now finishing up her…

WFMW: Love, Sweet Love Edition

Posted in Family, and Homemaking

Some of the best relationship advice that I received is to always keep the communication lines open. For us, this means that we always talk in the evening before bed. Even if D isn’t home, we always try to talk by phone or email. Obviously, this isn’t always possible, but we do our best. I tend to start talking a lot when D is trying to fall asleep, but we won’t mention that…. We also talk a lot when we’re driving. We laugh a lot too because I always bring books with me when we’re going on a long trip,…

Tackle It Tuesday: Freezer Cooking

Posted in Thrifty Ideas

I’ve been putting off getting my freezer meals stocked back up since I haven’t been feeling all that great. So, my Tackle it Tuesday for this week will be my freezer cooking. I’ll be making: 1. Baked Mac ‘n Cheese (2)2. 10 lbs of Mashed Potatoes3. Pasta Bake (3)4. Mexican Bake (2)5. Calzones (12)6. Breakfast Burritos (24) We’ll see if we’re able to get it all done. It depends on how I’m feeling and how much munchkin wants to cooperate. I want to try to get it all done today. Wishful thinking??? We’ll see…. ***Update: I was able to get…
