Thankful Thursday

“The name of the Lord is like a strong tower. Godly people run to it and are safe.” Proverbs 18:10 I’m thankful for this beautiful verse that started out our school week. Munchkin is now keeping a verse journal. She’s writing down the verses that stick out as special for us as we go through our lessons. I’m thankful that I was able to pick up the Prairie Primer very inexpensively. It’s been wonderful to watch Munchkin light up and really look forward to the daily readings and lessons. Tackle It Tuesday

Today’s tackle is a different sort of tackle for us. The tackle all stems from our studies today and some reading that Munchkin has been doing… Our first tackle was running to the grocery store to get the ingredients that she needed to make her new recipes from the Incredible Edible Gluten Free Food for Kids book that she’s reading. She wrote out a grocery list and figured out what all we needed to purchase and what we already had in the pantry/kitchen. Change in Plans

We use the Weaver curriculum in our homeschooling and LOVE it, but we’re taking a little break from it for a little bit. We started the Prairie Primer this week. The Prairie Primer is a unit study based on the Little House series. Grandma was kind enough to give munchkin the complete Little House series, so we have them available.
