Project 365 – #033 The right equipment makes hiking so much easier.  Of course, being in shape also helps when you’re out hiking.  **grin**  For my birthday, D gave me these new hiking boots (Merrell Moab Mid GORE-TEX® XCR®).  For Christmas, D and Munchkin gave me these Leki hiking poles.  I’ve never used hiking poles, and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed using them last week while we were hiking.  The other gear that is essential here is a good water hydration system.  I have a nice Camelbak daypack that D purchased for me a few years…

Project 365 – #031 We were blessed to have a wonderful week with Grandma and Grandpa.  Normally, when they come to visit, they can only stay for a few days, so this was a real treat.  Grandpa had a business conference to attend, so we decided to camp near the conference center.  We figured that we would try to spend as much time with them as possible.
